The Mariner's Ridge community of 429 homes is situated on a ridge of the Koolau mountains above Hahaione Valley.  This ridge offers some wonderful, although strenuous,  hikes as well as spectacular views.  The location takes advantage of a 180-degree panorama from the marina, Koko Head, and Koko Crater in one direction to the ocean toward Diamond Head in the other.

The houses were built from the mid- to late 1970s and most have been remodeled or renovated in the decades since.  They vary in size from 1,600 to over 2,800 sq ft.   Their architecture takes advantage of the setting, so the majority are either 2-story built above the roadway or with the lower level over the side of the ridge.

16 sales in 2007 ranged from $793,000 to $1,188,500.  In 2008, 5 homes sold, ranging from $870,000 to $999,000.   In 2009, 12 homes sold, ranging from $615,000 to $975,000.  Views and remodeling bring the higher prices.
