Kealaula Kai Community of Hawaii Kai
| Beyond the Anchorage and still on the marina is this development of 64 smaller homes, 1,500+ up to 2,600+ sq ft. These houses were built in the mid- 1980s and are on similarly sized lots as the Anchorage.
The name probably comes from Ke Alaula which means the dawning. With Kai, meaning water, it may be the developer’s term for the headwaters of the Hawaii Kai Marina.
Three sales in 2007 ranged from $930,000 to $1,300,000. In 2008, three homes also sold, from $870,000 to $1,125,000. In the first half of 2009, 2 homes have sold, for $745,000 and $1,000,000 - this 2nd a marinafront location.
