Homes in Kamehame Ridge of Hawaii Kai

Just mauka (toward the mountains) from Koko Villas take a left on Hawaii Kai Drive toward Lunalilo Home Road.  On your right is Kamehame Ridge.  Kamehame comes from the Hawaiian word Mehame, or Hame Tree.

The ridgeline development includes fewer than 200 houses built between 1982 and 1988, with large lots and a mix of architectural styles, most with panoramic views.   At the base of the ridge is a new complex called Bali Lofts.  These are large homes, more than 4,000 sq ft, using contemporary design with a Bali island flair, central air, high quality materials, but without a view. 

3 sales in 2007 ranged between $730,000 to $1,005,000.  In 2008, 4 homes closed, priced from $963,000 to $1,495,000.  The 2 higher priced properties were the Balinese new homes, $1,450,000 and $1,495,000.  In 2009, 3 homes sold, from $784,000 to $1,250,000.  The highest priced sale was a Balinese home, the other 2 ridge view homes.  In 2010, 4 homes sold, for $825,000, $980,000, $1,250,000, and $1,500,000, the last built in 2009 in Bali Lofts.

The high sale in February, 2011, was in Kamehame Ridge, $1,600,000, for a 4,045 SF home in Bali Lofts, with 4 bedrooms/3.5 baths built in 2006.
