Sales of Hawaii Kai homes, October, 2010
Single Family Homes
20 single family homes sold in Hawaii Kai in October. They ranged from $540,000 for a 4/2 on 12,265 SF of land, 1,384 SF interior, home in Mariners Valley, to $1,650,000 for a spectacular view home in NaPali Haweo, of 3,553 SF interior, pool, on 12,626 SF of land. Days on market for the NaPali Haweo home was only 22, for the Mariners Valley home, 16.
For comparison, 20 homes also sold in September. Last year, in October, 25 homes sold, reflecting the stimulus of the Buyer Tax Credit in effect then.
Condos
18 condos sold in Hawaii Kai in October. The lowest sale was $360,000 for a 1/1 home in the Mauna Luan on the 6th floor. The highest sale was again in the Peninsula for $700,000, a 3/2.5 home, Cottage model, with a yard on a canal to the marina.
The sales were 2 units higher than October of last year, and 2 units higher than September, 2010.
The Hawaii Kai real estate market is gradually, and slowly, improving.
